NEMOURS’ TEDDY BEAR AFFAIR AT THE JACKSONVILLE ZOO AND GARDENS

September 13, 2006 – Jacksonville, FL – The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens will be hosting its’ annual Teddy Bear Affair, sponsored by Nemours, on Saturday, September 16, 2006, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the Zoo’s new Play Park. Children, ages 3-12, who bring their teddy bears or other stuffed animals that day, will receive free admission to the Zoo.

“Injured” teddy bears will receive special treatment by Nemours’ skilled staff at the Teddy Bear Clinic, while Radio Disney provides music and games from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be face painting by Jax4Kids, animal encounters, and drawings. Also look for members of the Jacksonville Fire Department, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, and Division of Forestry with Smokey the Bear who will be providing safety information. Blockbuster Video will be videotaping children so that parents will have current footage of their child in case of an emergency.
