SEE THE ZOO AFTER DARK
 AT SUMMER DAY CAMP!

May 3, 2007, Jacksonville, FL – The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens’ Summer Day Camp just got WILDER!  Every Thursday night during their full-week day camps, campers may elect to SPEND THE NIGHT and experience the Zoo after dark.  Go on a Zookeeper-led flashlight tour of the Zoo for behind the scenes and up-close encounters with some of the Zoo’s most exotic creatures.  The experience also includes dinner, evening snacks, animal activities, and continental breakfast in the morning. Parents will delight in a surprise, middle-of-the-week night off from the kids!

Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens has featured summer programming for over 20 years.  Nowhere along the First Coast can Kindergarten through Eighth Graders spend a week getting up-close and personal with exotic animals from six continents.  The cost for this one-of-a-kind experience is: Members: $150 per student per week; Non-members: $175 per student per week; Add the sleepover for $30 per student.  Before and After Care is also available for an additional fee to accommodate working parents’ schedules.  Information and registration forms are available at our Web site at jacksonvillezoo.org.

For over 90 years, the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens has been dedicated to inspiring the discovery and appreciation of wildlife through innovative experience in a caring environment.
