Part 1: February 7- Winter’s Hardy Green
Every garden needs a sturdy backdrop. Come learn about our evergreen plants that create the foundations for our luscious gardens, disguise our buildings and border our walks.
Part 2: March 7- Spring Cleaning!
Now is the time for spring cleaning! Come let us show you how we do it. Pruning, cutting back, cleaning and fertilizing. It’s dirty work but the garden will love you for it.
Part 3: April 4- Spring is in the Air
Take time to stop and smell the roses. Everything is popping out with new growth and beautiful flowers. Come stroll the gardens to ooh and aah at Nature’s handiwork and see what’s bloomin’.
Part 4: May 2- Asia at last!
Come behold the elegance of our most recent addition to the Gardens - Asia! Join us as we meander through the new Asian Garden, reflecting upon the ideas of Eastern garden philosophies and observing the natural beauty of the plants indigenous to that area of the world.
Part 5: June 6- Containers for the Heat
Join us for our spring container garden tour. The right plant in the right place makes for the perfect pot. Come take a look at our selection of heat busting plants that will have your containers looking great.
Thank you for considering our Garden Tours. Here are a few friendly reminders that will make your tour more pleasant:
- This is a walking tour out in the Gardens. Please dress appropriately and wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Remember your water! You can bring your own or we have several cafés in the Zoo that sell bottled water.
- We will continue with the tour if there is a light rain.
- Updates will be posted on our Web site if there is a change to the tour schedule due to severe weather.
